FAQ
Have questions about starting therapy? We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions to help you feel informed, supported, and confident as you take this next step.
Do you accept insurance?
Highland Healing Center is a Private Pay Group Coaching and Therapy Practice. Simply put, clients pay for their sessions up front. Our fully licensed therapists are out-of-network providers for most insurance companies.
What is an Out-Of-Network Provider?
This means we do not accept insurance directly, though we can provide superbills (medical receipts) for sessions with a fully licensed therapist for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will pay for sessions up front, and if your plan offers out-of-network mental health benefits, you may get part or all of that cost reimbursed. We are here to guide you through the process.
What is the cost per session?
At Highland Healing Center, session rates vary depending on the provider’s level of expertise and whether it is individual, couples, or family coaching/therapy session. Fees typically range from $125 to $300 per session. You can find each team member’s specific rates on their team profile page.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, we are! We are continuously expanding our team of highly skilled Coaches and Therapists so new clients can get the support they need without a long wait. We're here for you when you are ready to begin.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes, we do. Once your virtual appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation text. You will then receive a reminder email 1 hour before your appointment with a secure video session link. No additional downloads will be needed to access the video link.
How long should I plan to be in Therapy or Coaching?
Everyone’s journey is different, though many of our clients start to feel meaningful relief within the first 6 sessions. Some choose to continue for 12 to 36 sessions—or longer—as they deepen their healing and growth.
For the best support, we recommend starting with weekly or bi-weekly sessions if that feels doable for you. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that fits your needs.
How do I contact my Therapist or Recovery Coach?
For ongoing communication for established clients, you can directly email your Coach or Therapist. The email address and direct phone number for each Coach or Therapist at Highland Healing Center is listed by their bio on the team page.
What is the difference between Coaching and Therapy?
Coaching is forward focusing support to help a client recover from addiction, trauma, and life challenges and build a life connected with their true self. Coaches do not diagnose and are not licensed therapists. Therapists can diagnose and treat mental health symptoms and are licensed and regulated by State Licensure Boards.
How do I get started?
All of our Therapists and Recovery Coaches offer a free 20-minute discovery call.
