Experience
I started Highland Healing Center in 2022 with a commitment to the transformative power that deep therapeutic healing can have on our lives. Our therapy center is composed of a team of conscious clinicians who are dedicated to guiding others and committed to their own healing journeys. Together, we offer innovative, integrative therapy to support our clients and give back to our community.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University, and my background includes years of experience at non-profit agencies specializing in complex trauma and sexual trauma. Recently, I became certified in psychedelic-assisted therapy, a field I'm passionate about as I see the powerful potential psychedelics hold in helping people overcome PTSD and other trauma-related struggles. At Highland Healing Center, I continue to work with a select group of clients, focusing on trauma and attachment work. My practice often involves exploring relationship challenges, healing from sexual trauma, addressing addictions, navigating questions of sexuality, and working through religious trauma.
Client Focus: Women (18+), Men (18+), Couples
Types of therapy: EMDR, EFT (Tapping), IFS, Somatic Experiencing and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
Symptoms: Complex developmental trauma, relationship issues, attachment wounds, sexual trauma, coming out in mid-life, religious trauma, LGBTQ questioning or concerns
Rates
The charge for the first 90-minute evaluation session is $300, and for subsequent 60-minute sessions, the session rate is $175.
I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. This means we can provide you with a receipt (superbill) and you can send this to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement.

Hi, I'm Debbie Breaux
Founder of Highland Healing Center
My own diverse background has shaped my values, my path, how I see the world, and how I practice therapy. In addition, my personal and family experiences with loss, death, divorce, substance abuse, grief, and coming out in midlife have shaped who I am today. My personal path has taught me that healing requires more than talk therapy alone, and I am deeply grateful to many gifted therapists, mentors, and coaches who have lovingly and skillfully been my guides over the past 30 years.
I know at my core that healing – through healing modalities, therapy and connection – is possible. I’ve created Highland Healing Center as a sacred place where every detail has been curated with deep intention. Nuances matter to me – like the variegated lemon trees at our entrance, the lavender and lemon essential oils, the soothing music, an abundance of live plants, and an immaculately clean space – all so you can feel safe, at ease, and welcome.
My work is deeply meaningful to me and I am committed to providing you with the best therapy experience possible.
